Jocelyn Paiz was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated cum laude in 2010 from the University of Florida with a degree in Criminology and English and a minor in Leadership. Following graduation she joined the Shuster & Saben team where she worked for two years. In 2015 she graduated from Barry University School of Law. While at Barry, Jocelyn was a member of the Women’s Lawyer Association and the Hispanic Bar Association of Central Florida.
Jocelyn advanced to the Elite Eight as part of Barry University's trial team at the American Bar Association John Marshall Law School National Criminal Justice Trial Competition. She was also a semi-finalist in the In Vino Veritas GGU Prof. Bernie L. Segal Criminal Mock Trial Competition. Jocelyn worked during her final year of law school at the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office. Jocelyn prosecutes PIP claims throughout Florida as well as represents victims of personal injury injury and sexual harassment in State and Federal Court.
In her free time, Jocelyn enjoys watching the Gators & Miami Dolphins play, going to the beach and spending time with her family. Jocelyn is also fluent in Spanish.
